Katherine always has a plan to escape the hardest times.
In this scene, Damon and Rebekah confront Katherine in a house, searching for “the cure.” Katherine claims it was in a safe, but it is missing. Damon realizes she is lying and spots a hidden treasure chest inside a fishless aquarium. When he discovers the water contains vervain, Katherine suddenly attacks him, slamming his head into the tank. She grabs the cure and threatens Rebekah, forcing a tense standoff before Katherine quickly escapes.
